Electronic Messages

If a recipient receives a CEM from CPAWB, it is because the individual is on its mailing list for this type of communication or has purchased one or more CPAWB services or products in the past two years. Nevertheless, recipients can modify their CEM preferences at any time.

As concerns the stipulations in Subsection Section 248(1) of the Income Tax Act, Section 6 of the Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) does not apply to a CEM sent by, or on behalf of, a registered charity if the primary purpose of the message is to raise funds for the charitable activities of the group involved.

Jurisdiction

The general terms and conditions for use are governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Quebec. Any disputes will be adjudicated before the court in the Montreal judicial district in which CPAWB’s head office is located.
